General Purpose Overhead Crane

An overhead travelling crane is a type of lifting equipment widely used in industrial applications, mainly for hoisting and transporting goods. It mainly consists of a bridge structure, lifting mechanism, trolley, long-travel mechanism, operator’s cabin and other components. The bridge structure serves as the main framework of the crane, generally composed of main girders, end girders, walkways and other parts. The long-travel mechanism is made up of components including a long-travel motor, drive shafts, reducers, wheels and brakes. The trolley is mounted on the bridge rails and can move along the width of the workshop, consisting of a trolley frame as well as a cross-travel mechanism and lifting mechanism installed on it.

The bridge of the overhead travelling crane runs longitudinally along the rails laid on elevated structures on both sides, while the hoisting trolley travels transversely along the rails mounted on the bridge, forming a rectangular working scope. This allows full use of the space beneath the bridge for lifting and handling materials without obstruction from ground-based equipment. The lifting mechanism consists of a lifting motor, reducer, winding drum, brake and other components, and realizes the lifting and lowering of goods through the rotation of the winding drum.
